This was a weekly five round fortnightly Swiss from June 15 to July 13 at a time control of 25'+10" for two games per round. Final standings, round by round scores and the prize list are here.
This proved to be a highly enjoyable 90 minutes of Blitz against the strong Heimbach-Weis club from Neuwied in Germany. It was a lichess team battle over 16 boards at a time control of 5'/3". The final result was a win for Heimbach-Weis by 198-136. Given the difference in the average ratings of the teams, this was a better result for Cornwall than expected
Many thank to Petra Nunn and Robin Kneebone on the Cornwall side and to Christian Fink from Heimbach-Weis for organising. It is clear that everyone had a good time.

Congratulations to Devon who dominated throughout and won with a 100% score, dropping only 12 game points out of 90. Cornwall were 2nd with 4 wins.

Having beaten Horsham 1 by 4 - 0 in the semi-final Trelawny's Army, Falmouth & Truro's division 3 team will meet Catford Cosmonauts 2 in the divisional Final on 15th December.

Cornwall Online League
Play in season 1 of the the Cornwall Online League ended on August 16. Congratulations to winnwers, Bude who finished two points clear of Calstock/Lerryn Killers and Camborne Pendarves. Final table and links to results here.
We plan to start season 2 in the new year when the Cornwall Online Congress is completed.
National Online Club Championship
The first National Online Club Championship, organised by the The English Chess Federation ran from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June on similar lines to the OTB National Club Championship.
