Camborne Grand Prix

Camborne Club Championship 2025/26

General Arrangements

Six round Swiss.

Time control: 75 minutes + 10 seconds increment from move 1.

Games to be played at the club meetings on the dates shown in the left-hand column unless the players agree an alternative date.

All the games will be submitted for rating in the ECF Standard Play list.

Single section with grading prizes

The tournament winner will receive the club championship trophy (Trevor Johns Cup) and the highest ranked playerfrom the bottom half of the draw will receive the Philip Williams Cup.

Ties for the Trevor Johns Cup will be broken using Sum of Progressive Scores. If this fails to produce a winner, the trophy will be shared. If there is a tie for the Philip Williams Cup, the trophy will be shared.

The club championship will be part of the Camborne Grand Prix, counting for triple points.

Rate of play: 75 minutes each with 10 second per move increments from move 1.

If the players cannot play their game on the set date, they will need to arrange an alternative date and time. If they wish, the game can be played at my house. In that event, please contact me as soon as possible in order to arrange a suitable date and time.
