Match Report

Jamie Morgan

A great result in our first match, particularly considering that we were outrated on most boards.

Special mention for our new players on their debut: Tom Hill, James Galloway and Rafferty Renshaw - all with excellent results. Colin Sellwood, Jeff Nicholas and Ian Renshaw brought home the full point. Anthony Rundle, Ian Murray, Nigel Kirkman, Bryan Jones, Mick Hill and Philip Spargo held their opponents to equality. David Jenkins lost to Michael Stinton-Brownbridge; no shame in that he is always a tough pairing. Likewise Ajna Fern losing to Peter Halmkin, an ex East Devon champion.
