Birth of the WECU

The SCCU archivist, Anthony Fulton, has written a book about the SCCU's first 125 years: The Southern Counties Chess Union - a retrospective. It includes an account of the WECU's secession from the SCCU.

He has kindly contributed two articles on the early years of the WECU around the time of its leaving the SCCU. The articles can be found here and here
