The Cornwall County Chess Association welcomes you to its 2nd Autumn Congress which wil be held from 20th to 22nd September 2024 in the fine setting of the ballroom at the Queen's Hotel, Penzance with its magnificent sea view across Mounts Bay, taking in St Michael's Mount to the East and the fishing village of Newlyn to the West.
In addition to the accommodation available at the Queen's Hotel, there are many hotels and B&B's within walking distance. One of the many attractions of Penzance is the Jubilee Pool which is about 400 metres along the promenade towards the railway station. Its facilities, including the geothermal pool, are open all year round. The railway station, with services to all parts of Great Britain, is about 10 minutes walk from the venue. There are also several car parks nearby.
