2nd Cornwall Spring Congress 2022

The first Cornwall Spring congress, including the Championship of Cornwall, was held in May 2019 with 77 players, including 44 from beyond the Tamar.

The 2022 congress will again be held in the beautiful setting of the Terrace Rooms at the Falmouth Hotel with its magnificent sea views across Falmouth Bay and superb playing conditions. We look forward to welcoming returning and first-time players from all parts of the UK on Friday 29 April to 1 May 2022.

We thank the trustees of the Cornwall Chess Trust for their generous contribution towards the running costs of the congress.

As it is not clear what the level and nature of the risk from Covid will be nor what regulations, if any, will be in force at the start of the congress, the organisers reserve the right to require additional mitigations against Covid-19, such as the compulsory wearing of face masks in the tournament hall. The decision as to whether this will be required will be made shortly before the event according to the situation at the time.
